Make lp0 available for scanner
 

MDK 10.0 with slimscan C6 into parallel port. MDK control center shows compatible with this scanner but I don't think it shows /dev/lp0 as an option to select device unless it is listed as /dev/parport0, but still doesn't work.

I have borrowed USB version of this same scanner that is detected and works fine, so I think the drivers are there but is not being detected thru lp0.

Is it possible that MDK 10 is expecting a printer on the lp0 and if so how can I configure/reset lp0 into the "select device" list for the scanner to include lp0?
