mic doesnt work

hi

i just bought an soundblaster live. i recompilied the kernel, with the emu10k1 as modul, deactivated in the bios the onboard chip, and plugged in the new soundcard

sound works great, but the mic doesnt do anything. e.g. when i start teamspeak2 and make record, he doesnt record somethin. but he react on the mic. you know you can go into the local test mode, and the green led gleams when i speak. but i can not record.

what can i do? thanx

Make sure the mic channel is not muted by your mixing application. (alsamixer for alsa).

the channel 'mic' is unmuted, but alsamixer says in the information top left

why off? how can i activate it?

/edit ah i typed amixer set Mic unmute 100%, now [Off] is gone, but it still doesnt work

it works with krecord... i just tested teamspeak record and there it doesnt work...

so thanx anyway, solved i think :>
