MCE remote, wake up

Hello I have learned that my gentoo system can correctly go into sleep mode.

Is it possible to wake the system from an MCE remote, if so how? (its possible in windows)

Hmm.. works with mythTV and Lirc

This is why I have just about given up on linux. Bad attitudes and answers from supposed experts. However, nothing ever seems to work as advertised/hyped.
