You need to adjust the VertRefresh and HorizSync ranges for your monitor in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.

Did you ever get your 2005FPW going at the max resolution? I'm asking because I'm thinking of getting one of these. Found a guy in Gentoo forum who has one and gave the following modeline:

Modeline "1680x1050" 119.0 1680 1728 1760 1840 1050 1053 1059 1080 -hsync +vsync

A question: Is the screen surface a matt finish or is it shiny?

Tony
