Manually cleaning Canon2100 heads + drivers
Hello,
Centos 4.5 i686 And it is a 2110, not a 2100
cups-1.1.22
I destroyed the carriage in my HP printer and was given a Canon BJC2110. I need to run the head cleaning thing where with the HP printer I pushed the button down 6 times (something like that) and manually did it. I downloaded the Cannon 265 page manual finally found the page on cleaning the heads (no small task), and they had nothing on how to do it manually - just how to get the pop-up for Windows and Mac users.
This printer only has one button on it, not two like my old HP, nor does it even have a light. No number of button push and holds have worked yet. But it should work if I get the heads cleaned, and may need to clean the jets. The printer tries to print but no ink is on the page so I guess that is the problem since it set up awhile.
Anyone know how many times to hold the button down or how to manually clean the heads?
Is there now a program for this (I never did know how to align my cartridges - just hoped they aligned)? I am reading about gutenprint which has commands for things like this. If so, the manual there only refers to Epson.
Thanks for ANY help
