Manually allocate IRQ to ISDN card?

Hi,

is it possible to manually allocate an interrupt to my ISDN PCI (HFC-S PCI with Cologne chip) cards?
Whenever I load the drivers for my two ISDN cards, one of the cards tries to share an IRQ with my NIC. When this happens, the IRQ (11) is automatically deactivated for both cards (ISDN and NIC).

I am using linux kernel 2.6.9.

The BIOS does not seem to offer such a function.

Every kind of help is very appreciated.

Best regards,
Frittenbude

You can try putting the nic in a different PCI slot...

Sorry, I better had mentioned that the NICs are onboard and that there are only 2 PCI slots available for the 2 ISDN cards. It's an epia mainboard.

That's why I asked for a software solution.

OK. Are you using both ISDN cards? Can you afford to ditch one? I am not understanding from your post what they are for.

Anyway, if you can't change it in your BIOS then I don't know what to tell you.

No, I cannot remove one of the ISDN cards. This machine should be used as an ISDN telephone gateway with asterisk. Therefor two cards are necessary (one for the internal BUS, ohne for the external BUS).

But thank you anyway, bulliver. Maybe someone else can say something.
