Ive been reading around, and it seems that Mandrake 5.1 is having some problems with the Radeon 7500. I'm trying to install it on my eMac G4 (1.2 ghz), but graphical install or just simply booting up after youve installed ends up with a black screen... a few people are having the same problems, on x86 machines too. I've messed around with the settings a few times, Ive think the machine is going to explode I've rebooted and re-installed OS X and Mandrake so many times (as well as trying Gentoo, but that was mostly me banging my head on the keyboard in frustration).
Has anyone figured this out yet? I really need to know by tomorrow, if no one can help, I guess I'll just go with YDL or SuSE...

also, if anyone could answer these small questions that would be great:
Can you run Mac on Linux under YDL?
Is there an English setting in HOLON Linux?

...its supposed to be drivers for a bunch of different video cards, including the 7500... I have no idea how to install this with the mandrake 9.1 installation discs. I'm not going to try anything though, I need sleep...
