Mandrake 9.0 on Acer 230

Hey every one,
Has anyone ever installed mandrake 9.0 on a travelmate 230,The reason for asking s that i can not get my screen to work, It recogizes that there is a moniter but it wont load up the gui, have tried startx and nothng comes up,can any one help me to fix ths problem, if you can t wll be a great help.

Was this laptop made 2001 or before? Mandrake 9 was released 2002, hope you do not expect it to support future hardware.

hey thanks for that i checked t out and t was built n 2002, so thank you for pointing that out.
