Making Play Blu ray On linux

I just have three question there:

First is is there anyway to make working the drivers for my geforce 8600 GTS for the Pure effect to play Blu Ray? Because I know that the driver in windows contain the optimisation for Blu Ray / Hd Dvd device but not linux. maybe there is an experimental device or someting?

My second question is with VMWARE SERVER application, I can install windows, so can I use my windows driver on it to use my full optimisation and then play with PowerDvd my blu ray without a dual install...

Third and last question is does anywone try PowerDvd on intel base Pc on linux Vmware because I know that in mac it's not working, said that cannot run on a virtual environnement. So maybe the easy solution should be to have a booting loader with my two os... that kind of suck but if no other choice then...

The decoding on a GPU (for nvidia) is called vdpau(just google it). It is just starting with driver 180(?) and the application has to be modified to support it too. The patches have been made to VLC and Mplayer but I am not sure if they have made it into the repos yet.
