Question making one sound card work


hi
when i play video or music (anything related to sound)
and i plug in my headphone i hear the sound from the speakers of the computer & the headphones

so how can make the sound goes from one of them only

hardware: pluging into jack should open the laptop speaker. if not setting would be in bios setup

I'm not familiar with tweaking the sound card from the bios, but the first part of his post meant for you to literally take the plug of your speakers and plug it into the sound card port of your computer. This would be the same as plugging in your head phones to your portable music player.

HDMI?

What type of computer are we talking about? The attached shows a output tab, the choices on output would determine what your choices would be.
Normal audio out jacks disable the feed to internal speakers when a auxiliary speakers or head phones are plugged in.
On the farm once you name it we know what to feed it.
