Mad Catz Cyborg R.A.T 7 Mouse Precision Aim Button

I was wondering if there is software that will allow me to make the precision aim button do what it is intended to do, but in Linux? I game in Linux quite a bit and got this mouse just for this purpose, so I hope it's possible to make the button lower the mouse sensitivity while pressed.

FYI: I am running Linux Mint 14 XFCE

Mad Catz has no Linux support. The only company i know of that supports its gaming hardware on Linux is Roccat.

Well I have gotten the mouse working perfectly, and the red button simply registers as a regular additional mouse button. All I need to know is if there is a method to lower mouse sensitivity while any assigned key is pressed. I realize the mouse technically is not supported, but if there was a program to do what I described then I could easily assign that red button to do it.

I believe there is no way to achieve this yet. In order to do that, you would have to talk to mouse firmware somehow (driver from Mad Catz would be nice), which is what I think dpi button on mouse does.
