mach64 driver for X

Hello!
A friend of mine has got an ATI 3D Rage LT PRO video card, and we're trying to enable DRI.

Some info about the computer:
SIEMENS Scenic Mobile 750
Kernel 2.6.21.5-smp
Slackware 12
X version... unknown, the folder is X11R6 (I don't know how to get it).

I've read somewhere that the appropriate driver for this card is mach64, but I can't find it in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers, (however, there is mach64_dri.so inside /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri)

How can I get and install the driver?
Thank you!
