LVM with external USB drives

Hi,

I am looking to build a myth tv box, but the only internal hard drive I have is 60 gig. So, want to include my external wd 120 gig usb drive. Can this be added to LVM? If so, what is the easiest way? And if anyone has any specific knowledge of taking this drive apart (case off etc) and making it internal - I'd love to hear about that.

cheers,
john
