I am currently using Linux Red Hat for our business that is located in Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, and Cincinnati. We are using Ivista web cams at the Cleveland, Denver, and Chicago sites but our Cincinnati campus' web cam died. We got a new web cam from Ivista and it did not work for some reason. we tried to contact Ivista and they could not give us the proper help that we needed. We are looking to go in a different direction with companies. We bought a Dynex DX-WC101 and it requires Net Meeting. As far as i can tell, Linux does not have Net Meeting. What web cams are Linux compatible?

Have you tried gnome-meeting? It's a NetMeeting clone. Other than that, plug in your webcam, and run "dmesg | tail" after a few seconds. That'll print out the last of the kernel messages, and tell you whether it picked up the camera or not, or tell you of any errors.
