Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

looking for easy to use backup software & hardware for SUSE Linux

The subject says it all really

I need a system that will allow me to easily back-up up to 500 GB of data, can be scheduled as a cron job, and works in a Xen VM environment - running SUSE linux.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks.

Lots of options.

Perhaps you could give some more detail about what it is you want to do. 500G all one place (partition)? Only one machine? Network? Budget for hardware? etc.

Oh - sorry about that...

Right now we are looking at 1 machine, that houses our photo files & our MySQL database. My Budget is about 1K (I can get a little more from the boss, but lets start there) the big issue is Disaster Recovery - in the event that the machine is "un-recoverable" how long will it take to get new hardware in so that we can restore our system.
