Looking for a webcam

I'm new to the forums and would really appreciate a recommendation on a webcam. I would like to keep the price below $40.00. I'll be using it for Skype under Ubuntu 8.04. I am not sure if the under $50 ones are any good.

Here are the two I am considering:

I don't think my needs are too demanding in that I just need it for Skype video calls.

Actually, I wouldn't spend any more than $20.00, if you can avoid it.

I bought a cheesy little Gigaware USB 2.0 webcam off-the-shelf, and it's worked fine everywhere I've used it. Including Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora ... and Windows.

None of these are the exact model - but those in the $15.00 - $30.00 range should give you an idea of what I recommend looking for:

'Hope that helps .. PSM
