Please post the output of, while the camera is plugged in:

Code:
/sbin/lsusb
(run that in a terminal, copy and paste here)

Well then just run 'lsusb' as root.

Alright good, it looks like the camera is listed here:
http://mxhaard.free.fr/spca5xx.html

So the spca drivers support it.

I believe the debian package is gspca-modules.

Thank you very much. It works

For people who want to install it and configure, here is a quick way to do it:

Step first:

Code:
sudo aptitude install gspca-source camorama
Now go to the directory /usr/src you should see our archive with a nice driver source gspca-source.tar.bz2
Unpack it and go to /usr/src/modules/gspca

Now try this one:

Code:
make
It should compile without errors. Next step:

Code:
sudo make install
...so that you can install your module in the directory, were other kernel modules are placed.

Ok, now it is time to load a module of our webcam:

Code:
sudo modprobe gspca
... let's plug the webcam.

Finally, run Camorama and smile

Also, I probably was not explicit enough on how I know which driver supports you camera, well you look at 'lsusb':

Code:
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 046d:08d8 Logitech, Inc. QuickCam for Notebook Deluxe
These numbers are important '046d:08d8', these are the vendor: product ids, which you can look up here:
http://linux-uvc.berlios.de/
and
http://mxhaard.free.fr/spca5xx.html
depending on which supports it.
If neither does look it up on google, maybe somebody wrote a driver for it, include the numbers above.
