Logitech Quickcam mic "popping"

I am using UVCVideo drivers that were included (?) with the newest Linux kernel.

The camera quality is perfect, mic works great as well, everything is good quality but the mic "clicks" or "pops" every now and then.

What could be causing this?

I have the same problem, and I have no idea what causes it. Does it happen on Window$ ?

I just use another mic hooked up to the sound card.
