Logitech optical wheel mouse

Just bought a Logitech optical wheel mouse. Scroll wheel doesn't work. Using mdk 9.1.
Any thoughts on this?

Edit your XF86Config file found in /etc/X11/ to include this line under the mouse section:

Options "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" <--there is a space between the 4 and 5

Edit your /etc/X11/XF86Config.
Change the mouse protocol to "ImPS/2".
Add this line along with your mouse options:
"Option" "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

Thanks you guys.
My config file already has "ZAxisMapping" "4 5". And tyg, I made the change to "lmPS/2 and there is no change. By the way, the 'lmPS/2' is 'l' as in LAMB', right? and not 'I' as in the letter 'i'?

As it is, my left button does the normal left click, the right button brings up a menu, the wheel, when pressed acts as a left click except that it opens a link in a NEW window instead of in the same window as a left click does, and turning the wheel does nothing.
