Logitech G400 gaming mouse --- can I set up multiple button profiles?

I'm using Fedora 17 with KDE. I have a Logitech G400 gaming mouse, and it works just fine out of the box. When I used to dual boot for gaming, the mouse had software for Windows that allowed me to set up different profiles for different games and applications for the mouse buttons. Is there a way to set up multiple profiles for my mouse under Linux?

xmodmap should be able to do this, according to this wiki: http://www.fvue.nl/wiki/Configuring_...e_in_X_Windows

This way you can create a script to switch between settings. You _may_ have to restart X (CTRL+Alt+Backspace) to make changes take effect. Anyway, xmodmap and the xorg.conf input fields should get you started:)
