LITE-ON in linux?

Hi, I just wonder if anyone know how to get the DVD/CD-R Burner LITE-ON LDW-411S to work in linux, i've tried with some different programs but get's the same answer from all of them "No CD/DVD-Recorder device specified." I guess that I don't have the right drivers so does anyone know were to get 'em ?

maybe its permissions problems since u need write access to use the cd writer. what applications are u trying to setup?
