Well, I think it's a driver issue, not quite sure. I'm a newbie in slackware. Installed slackware 12.1, never had such a problem in openSuse or Ubuntu, when I'm trying to play a video it's not rendering properly, the screen goes greenish. The sound is working fine. I'm using a Intel 945 mobo,with Core 2 Duo 2.2Ghz CPUs. Plz help me resolve this issue.
You say using ubuntu or other you have no problem. Was that with same hardware?
Which mboard and video card do you have? I realize you said you have intel945. I've never had intel board. Does the 945 completely describe it? I also see 945G, 945GC...etc.
Post output from lsmod and lspci.
What application, i.e. xine, gives green video? If xine or mplayer, or other, what is video set to use, i.e. opengl or x11, xv...?
