mandrake 9.1 wasn't responding so i shut down my pc. after that lilo did the annoying L 10 10 10 10 10 10 10... thing so i did a fixmbr with windows (which i was hoping to get rid of). unfortunatly, the linux drive (maxtor 15gb) is dead. i guess the partition table got corrupted and only the bios detects it (not xp or dos)
if this has happened to anyone please give me advice!
james
ps. no booting from floppies my drive doesn't work, thanks in advance!
You may want to try booting from the #1 CD and hit F1. At the prompt type in "rescue". Follow the instructions from there. I have never done it but I have read where problems like yours have been fixed using rescue.
