linux compatible firewire 800 chipsets

Hey all (first post),
I am running a linux distro on an IBM t61 laptop, but i need to be able to plug in a firewire 800 device. Are there any linux ready expresscard34/54 products on the market? If not, what chipsets are compatible with linux so I can work on my own drivers?
edit: the laptop also has a cardbus slot, so either a standard PCMCIA cardbus or ExpressCard34/54 device would be fine
