Question Linux compatible 1 Gb Nic.Card?

Hi,
I am in the process of building a render farm. I would like to use a inexpensive, Linux compatible, 1 Gb Nic.Cards. I looked at some by the makers, NetGear, and Dlink. Nothing special, just a PCI Nic card, that will pass along information. The problem is, I don't know if either of these cards are Linux compatible? If not, does anybody know of an inexpensive 1 Gb Nic card, that is Linux compatible?
