Question linux and notebook touchpad ?

Hi,

I have just installed Mandrake 9 on my Compaq Armada E500 notebook.

In Windows there is an option to "suppress taps" on the touchpad. (i.e. stop tapping on th touchpad acting as a mouse click).

Does anyone know how to do this is Linux ? Its very annoying as it is so sensitive.
