Linux and cheap Virtual 7.1 usb sound dongle

Does anybody have any experience with the Virtual 7.1 USB sound intetrface dongle with Linux? They are selling on several sites pretty cheap and ads say they have Linux drivers.

Anybody know about them?

I bought one for £4.99 from Amazon but mainly to use on an HP ML370 G4 server which, as it is a server, has no sound capability at all. Plugged it in and connected speakers and away it went! Most impressed! But... If you're lookinhg for the 7.1 bit, I must admit I was only trying to get sound rather than the full wrap around stuff. I'm running Ubunto 10.04 desktop (I found a four channel, dual head PCIe NVIDEA adapter which works a treat as well!! The ML370 only has basic SVGA for admin use and no 16 channel PCIe slots, just a couple of 4s)
I got no instructions, No Windows CD or anything for my £4.99 but at that price it was effectivley going to be a chuck away if it didn't work. As it is.. A happy Custoner

Play Bonny!
