Linksys Wireless-G PCI Card WMP54GX with SRX

I'm thinking about buying the Linksys Wireless-G PCI Card WMP54GX with SRX, does anybody now if it works without problems in linux?

So far i haven't been able to get it configured -=> i'm using Slackware 10.2 kernel-2.6.14.4 with ndiswrapper 1.7. I get as far as scanning for available networks and setting the essid channel WPA key and all that jazz but there is no way you can get DHCP response from the access point. I've tried setting the ip myself to static one and there is still nothing. When i check the log files i see nothing but ndiswrapper debug entries. Hope i'll get it up and running soon. I got the Airgo Networks MIMO chipset open source driver from their web but that's about 65MB of tools that do not give any specific NFO. If i get it up and running i'll definitely come back and post a walkthrough cuz i love that piece of hardware.

I havn't either... and for a linux newbie it's a bit daunting. I have tried walkthroughs for ndiswrapper and such, but I get the exact same problem as you(No DHCP, and when I try to set a static IP, I don't seem to be connected to anything, internet or network). Being a newcomer to linux I just don't know what to do next. :(

I am using Ubuntu (breezy) with the included ndiswrapper version (1.1 I think).

I look forward to someone smarter'n me cracking this nut. Then maybe I can figure it out from them. :)

Tried it on Madriva 2006, ndiswrapper worked on the driver, but the signal for both of my usual networks was bottomed out. Since it is SRX, I'm wondering if it requires multiple drivers. One for WIFI, and after that is established another for the SRX/MIMO technology. Hopefully a solution will come soon, otherwise I'm stuck without wifi until I can afford another card.
