Linksys wireless

Hi all!

Anybody knows if wireless -G from linksys is supported by linux?
I have Debian on my laptop, and from experience I know that new Linksys WPC11-vers4 is not working, while version 3 was good, but I' m not able to find it.
Someone has some hint?

Hi dugas,

maybe it is because of my ignorance on this theme:
which is ndiswrapper?

It' s not a module, I tried a blind "apt-cache search ndiswrapper" in the official
Debian mirrors but it doesn't find anything.
Thanks a lot,

emanuele

ndis wrapper

What's up Dimarcoe? ndiswrapper uses your windows drivers to run your wireless card. I am not 100% positve your card is supported, but you can check at http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/List
I got my friends Linksys G working but I am not sure exactly what kink of card it was. ndiswrapper is at http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/
I recomment the following tutorial http://www.linuxelectrons.com/articl...40507104718960
Good luck. Let me know if you need more help.

Ok! Thanks a lot!

They seem a very complete and useful collection of links!
I will try and I will let you know...
