I am thinking its time for Redhat to reclaim my hard drive!
The system is currently Lindows 3.0.5 clean install.
Any ideas why sound only works when logged in as root?
I have tried to make Lindows.com aware of this,
however I am a registered member who cannot post anything to any of the forums or support chanels available.
(I have no idea why)
I am getting this sick feeling that Lindows is more secretive about the settings and security systems than Microsoft Windows ever was.
If anyone has any ideas or changes I might attempt to get my sound functioning as an average user, your input will be greatly appreciated.

well the audio thing isn't actually a problem at all,
I forgot to add new users to group audio.
I was using linuxconf instead of the recommended kuser tool?
I did notice that all users are part of the group root.
Am I paranoid or does this make anyone else nervous?

Nah it's not just you. I thought Lindows was like everyone having root access.
