LILO or GRUB

ok i just need to know which one to do im trying to do a dual boot and i need to know which one to pick its asking whcih one right know so im trying to finch up tonight . FOr RH 9.0

RH9 comes with GRUB by default, so I'd go with GRUB. It's easier to maintain also.

GRUB stands for GRand Unified Bootloader. This is how to do a dual boot. You will have to install GRUB to the primary harddisks MBR. You can do that by running grub-install /dev/hda

grub-install is ussualy found in /sbin folder.

I prefer GRUB. It is easy to configure(timeout, splash image, etc..). If you compile a huge kernel GRUB seems to handle it better whereas LILO could tell you the kernel is too big.

I prefer grub, but newer versions of lilo seem to work as good as grub so its just a matter of personal choice.
