lexmark all in one 1150 with mandrake ? plz help

Hello everyone, I'm new to Linux....got really sick of microsoft stuff. can anyone help me with info regarding installing a lexmark 1150 all in one printer/scanner/copier?

Right now i'd be happy if i could just print, let alone scan.

I let mandrake (10) autodetect the printer when I installed the software last week. When I print a test page the computer acts like it will start to print, but nothing ever prints. sometimes the printer will move the inkjet heads around, but it never feeds paper and starts printing

When I use KDE Printer Utility Program to test the printer, it gives me a "permission denied" error...i dont know if that's any help.

lexmark does not make any drivers, and i'm kind of at a loss.

thanks for any help or info
