I'm having trouble with changing my mouse-buttons to a left-handed mouse. I've read about xmodmap -e "pointer = 3 2 1 5 4" and etc... But that doesn't work with xfree 4.3, so has anyone an idea..?
Some desktop or window managers has their own way of forcing right and left handed mouse. I know that Xfce and KDE have a setting for left and right handed mouse configurations, so xmodmap will not work. The utility xmodmap is the one to use to re-map mouse button configurations. You could add pointer = 3 2 1 5 4 in ~/.Xmodmap to automatically to set for desktop and window managers other than KDE and Xfce.
The only one i can find is "/usr/share/xmodmap/xmodmap.dk", but i makes no difference. In gnome i can change from right to left, but that only affects my touchpad and not the usb-mouse...
