Laserjet 1020 with Foo2zjs Not Printing
Greetings fellow Linuxquestions users,
I recently performed a clean install of Fedora Core 7 on my machine, and in an attempt to get my Laserjet 1020 printer working again, installed the foo2zjs driver and configured it as instructed at the following page. http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com/fedora/hp1020.html However, the test page will not print! Everything worked seamlessly under Fedora Core 6, and I've checked the USB connection between the printer and the computer. Everything seems fine. What could be the problem? Thanks much! |
Try this and see if it initializes the printer.
cat /usr/share/foo2zjs/firmware/sihp1020.dl > /dev/usb/lp0 |
That works perfectly! Thanks!
How do I get this to be done automatically? |
You only have to do it when the printer is shut off(the printer not the computer).
|
OK, I'll have to keep that in mind.
