I have a purchased a laptop last yr n installed fedora 6 over it. It was working fine. I went for holidays fr around 15days without my laptop n when I came back and switched it on ..It boots and started loading OS, suddenly monitor became blank and everything was stopped after that There was no booting. Though if u leave that(laptop) for 2-3 hrs , that will again boot to some extent bt problem is same. Again will stop. I have checked for Hard Drive n RAM that's fine..also no problem with external batteries.

What should I have to do?? Is motherboard replacement is the only option??

It is difficult to say what happened to your laptop. Sounds like a power supply problem which could be on the mother board. You might want to have it checked out by a local computer store.
