The A7N8X-X has an onbard nvidia ethernet card. The option in the kernel is "forcedeth - Reverse Engineered Nvidia Driver" or something like that. I though Suse would automatically load this module for you. If you do lsmod is the forcedeth module loaded? Try 'modprobe forcedeth'. Perhaps Suse 9.0 does not have that module compiled by default.

Im having trouble with this also. If I am not mistaken I have been using my Nvidia port for a long while now, and I think it is going bad because I began to drop 80% of the packets sent to my router. Either way I am looking to get the "forcedeth" module loaded, Using Gentoo. I have lost all my memory of which port is which :P eth0 I have been using now I need to use eth1.

2.6.10-gentoo-r4 kernel
Ive tried "modprobe forcedeth" and I get "FATAL: Module forcedeth not found."
Also forcedeth does not show in lsmod.

How do I get the forcedeth module loaded?
