Kyro II & RH 7.2

Okay I know there have been plenty of Kyro questions, although I haven't been able to figure out what I did wrong while installing RH 7.2 and the Kyro drivers.

I did a fresh install of Red Hat, but learned that the new Kyro drivers required a newer kernel. I updated the kernel using RH's newest RPM, then installed the Kyro RPM for athlon.

After setting up XF86Confg-4 the same as I had before using the same distro, I ran startx and I'm getting a modprobe errror. Everything looks fine until it errs that modprobe cannot find powervr...

I don't have acces to my XF86Config-4 file to post, but I went through everything on http://www.powervr.com/Drivers/Linux/README.txt numerous times.

Any pointers as to why I'm getting this error would be highly appreciated.

Try loading the driver by hand before you startx, do "modprobe powervr" as root. If that works add it to your start up scripts.

Unfortunately I have tried that and it says powervr not found

I've tried reinstalling the RPM and everything, to no avail...

Download the .tgz format driver and try that next.
