I have an IOGear GCS634U 4-port USB KVM that I want to use with 2 linux servers running CentOS 5.3. The KVM works great, switches with no problem between servers, except that it generates an error:
This error fills up the error logs and is constantly displayed on screen.

The error does not occur unless I switch between servers. If I plug the USB connector into another port, the error stops and the KVM still functions.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I am willing to either fix the problem, or just as good, would be to make the error stop displaying on screen and in the logs.

Get a different kvm.

Darn, after I answered it I wanted to remove it. I guess it is possible any number of reasons but the swap kvm may be the best easy first choice. Generally the issue is the kvm needs to do all the work to keep the system up and not rely on any host machine support but that may not be the case. You may have to watch out for mounted usb device manually. It could be any number of reasons. From bad usb, bad usb driver, bad OS support for kvm (I rather doubt that since RH is typically used on KVM).

The same thing happens on all the USB ports. One server is a Dell w/ Intel and the other is MSI Motherboard w/AMD.

If I wanted to update, or check for new drivers, how would I go about it? I have not had to do any kind of driver maniputlation with linux, so in this regard, consider me a newbie.
