I'm trying to get a Linksys 2 port integrated KVM switch to play nicely with my laptop, which runs 2.6.12-10-386 (Distro: Kubuntu Breezy).

I've tried a few different PS/2 keybards, all of which work just fine when I attach them to my laptop's usb port through a converter. When I plug the keyboard through the kvm switch, and attach the kvm to my laptop with the same adaptor, the laptop doesn't recognize the keyboard at all. Booting with everything plugged in to the KVM the way I want it and without switching away from linux doesn't help.

Any suggestions or insight will be greatly appreciated.

Resolution: I found an adaptor that feeds both the keyboard and mouse PS2 connectors into one USB port. When I plugged that in between the KVM and my laptop, everything worked instantly and perfectly. THe only functional difference in the system, however, is that now I have a mouse plugged in also. Apparently my OS couldn't handle *partial* input from the KVM, and only accepted PS2 inputs when it had both. Anyway, it works now. Thanks.
