Heya.
I'm suffering from a weird problem I can't solve.
I installed SLAX-live to an USB-stick, and made stick bootable. This way I could easily change the used modules etc.
However, when I boot from the USB-stick, SLAX boots OK, but I can't login because the keyboard does not work. It works during the menu where I select how to boot (KDE / console), but after the actual boot and hardware detection, nothing. The keyboard I use is a Logitech Media Keyboard PS/2, and I also tried with and older KeyTronic, with the same result.
Also, if the USB-stick is plugged in, Ubuntu 6.10 install suffers from the same problem - boot up, start the live CD, then no control whatsoever.
I assume that this is some kind of hardware conflict with USB / PS/2 that comes up during the HD detection?
Here's the hardware:
ASRock K7S8X
Athlon XP 2400+
1GB DDR 333
2x Seagate 160GB IDE
Asus GeForce 6600GT
SB Live! 1024
3Com Etherlink XL 10/100 PCI
Logitech Media Keyboard (ps/2)
Logitech MX700 (USB)
Sandisk Cruzer Micro 512MB USB-memory
I should also mention that I'm not a hardcore linux-user, so I may need simplified answers and I propably will ask stupid questions.
Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
