kernel modules

Hi
I have a netgear MA311 installed in my Vector Linux system. It didnt get detected when I installed. I know i need the orinocco driver because i've had it working with Red Hat. Is there a driver for this inbuilt in the kernel? An if so how do I invoke it?

There is in the 2.6 kernel. But not in the 2.4. What you really want is the hostap driver, not the orinoco driver. The HostAP driver fully supports the chipset in the card, the Orinoco drive doesn't.
