Kensington DisplayLink Adapter K33926 Compatibility?

Greetings fellow Linux folks, I've got a few questions here. After trying to troubleshoot a nic / networking issue where I work, I decided to remove any possible Windows 7 driver issue and made the move to Mint 10 Julia on a X64 based system(Ubuntu based - Non LMDE) The thing that I am trying to get working is my DisplayLink adapter. I am a software engineer by trade and I would like to have the 3 screens I'm accustom to having in Windows, usable in Linux. (Which is the main reason for the holdout of switching).

After some googling, I was able to dig up a few things:

http://lists.freedesktop.org/archive...ly/000258.html - is the displaylink-mod that replaces udlfb.

This one from freedesktop.org - http://libdlo.freedesktop.org/wiki/x...er-displaylink. Since it says the driver was picked up by Gentoo and Ubuntu, which makes me think I should be able to use it. I followed the directions but to no avail.

So after a bit more digging I came across Mulchman's Blog detailing how he got his to work with 3 monitors. http://mulchman.org/blog/?tag=displaylink, but I still can't get the xf86-video-displaylink
driver to build.

make returns:
josh@hades ~/Downloads/dl/displaylink $ sudo make
make -C /lib/modules/`uname -r`/build SUBDIRS=/home/josh/Downloads/dl/displaylink modules

Thanks in advance.
