KDETV & my pinnacle pctv stereo
 

Hi, i have this all known problem that i have no sound when i watch tv.
I am using SuSE 9.1.

It's not that i use line-in as surround, cause i don't.
In windows, the sound comes directly from the tv card, so i don't neede to use a cable from the tv card to the line in, but in linux using such a cable also doesn't work. And if i put a cable from the tv card directly to my speakers, i hear the same sound as if it was connected via the line-in, that sound that you hear if you pull out the television cable.

I have tried both the OSS and ALSA modes in kdetv, but doesn't work.
Could anybody help me? Or contact me via ICQ, Yahoo, AIM, jabbber (yakity@jabber.org) or msn (yakity@gmail.com)?

The best option for me would ofcourse be that i don't need a cable to my line in...

Hi,

Did you get your card working? I just started (again) to get my pinnacle pctv deluxe (USB) to work in my linux. I just heard of kdetv andn mythtv and i dont know if any have support for this external tunner. It would be nice if we could share some info.
