Question K8T Neo2 Drivers, anyone have any luck ?

I will be useing Mandrake 10.1 public release (3 cd version) for my installation. This will be my 3rd attempt to install linux for daily use, 1st time on this system, previous 2 were on a previous version of my comp which went well, just didn't have any exp with it, ie drivers. This time I want to get linux up and running to replace useing XP. As the topic states above I am looking for drivers for my K8T Neo2 mb and I am a to linux. I was wondering if anyone can point me to the right direction for drivers as the MSI website was a bust for drivers.

I have graphics drivers for my GeForce 6800 GT, from nvidia.com, and the mb is the last piece of drivers I need. I would really appreciate any tips as I want to install linux asap

It is unlikely that MSI would have a driverset for linux.
I think the best way to find out if a certain particular distro will work on you machine is to refer to that distro's webpage they might have a list of supported hardware for the paticular kernel that is bundled with the distro.

If that doesnt work, the key components linux will need a driver for is

Northbridge chipset/Memory Controller
Southbridge chipset
IDE Controllers
AGP (gui is wanted)
(I know im probably forgetting some other)

Processor support in linux seems to be very good.
