K8S-LA (pavilion a1203w) SiS 760/964 i2c sensor question (Fedora Core 5)

I am wondering what, if any, support there is for this motherboard with lm_sensors or i2c? Whenever sensors-detect is run (even as root) nothing is detected except for the nvidia and ivtv i2c devices, even though the i2c-sis96x module is loaded. I have even tried tweaking pci/quirks.c in the kernel source to activate a SMbus quirk for the 96x family, but to no avail. However, in the BIOS hardware monitoring screen, it shows the temp and two fan tachometers, so I know there is some kind of sensor somewhere on this board. Just wanted to know if I could get the fan speed readings.

thanks

PS on a humorous note, the tinkering I did with the quirks didn't change the pci layout, but it did irritate the nvidia card, badly.
