Well I had many problems trying to convert to Linux: CD-ROM didn't work (normal and audio), stupid PCMCIA tried to boot before eth0, problems with LILO, problems with emacs, problems with KsCD, problems with the console, root accessing, ...

Well I thought screw it, let's just re-install it from scratch (I'm not that weak minded I would run away at the first or tenth moment of frustration). This time I chose packages carefully and.....

It all works!

Even the PCMCIA booted in the right place. CD-ROM worked straight off, KsCD worked, audio fine, emacs np, LILO great.

Ah. Today is a great day.
