Jump Drive

I know this has probably been posted before, but I am a complete noob to Linux so I wanted some answers in simple form, lol. I just switched to Mandrake 10.1 from Windows, and I've managed to fall into it quite easily except I can't seem to access my jump drive. It shows up in the mount point profiles with all of the correct information including brand name and everything, but I can't seem to figure out how to browse it. I have tried making an icon for it on my desktop and when it tries to open using Konqueror it just doesn't open, and from then on Konqueror refuses to work. I have yet to download all of the updates, so is this a bug that has been fixed and I just need to update, or am I doing something wrong?

When you're trying to access it, is it listed in the output of the command "mount"? By mount point profiles, do you mean /etc/fstab? If it shows up there automatically then it should be pretty simple to get things working, I think.

Problem

Problem, I just tried plugging in my Jump drive and now none of my folders can be opened. Konqueror just sits there then disappears. It does this until I restart the computer.

Problem solved, it was an issue of updates. It now picks up all of my friends jump drives and mine just fine. Woot!
