Joystick axis reversed

Hi there :-)

I've posted this in hardware but I reckon it could be fixed with software.
Anyway, I have a Playstation dual axis joypad plugged into my linux box (through a converter). It works absolutly brilliantly, comes up as a USB HID, no extra effort at all required (I'm running debian). The only problem is that when using cedega, the left analogue stick has the axis reversed (up/down is left/right and vica-versa). This is very annoying. Simple question really :-) I have no clue and have searched the internet for ages until posting here:

What do I have to change to reverse the axis?

Thanks (in advance, fingers crossed!)
