is windows better than linux on the m275x i need help

ok so i installed linux on this laptop hoping it would work better than windows i wish it would i am i diehard linux fan but nothing works for instance i will list all the things that don't work. wireless card, battery monitor, the graphics processor is slower, everything is glitchy like the frames per seckond like 3 frames are missing durring all the video applications unlike windows, the sd card reader, and the tablet pen. windows worked fine with all of these things and now they all don't work. this was a $2000 comp and i would like it to work because windows got bogged down with all the viruses. i have another one of the exact same modle just nicer and i didn't want to install linux on it because i use it all the time and i tested them side by side and the windows one is better in almost everyway except for it doesn't have customizeability.

i am not here to argue just to get answers so no big you are just missusing linux and stuff like that. i only use windows for audio and that is why i didn't get rid of it.

i am using a gateway tablet notebook m275x and a m275xl i want to put linux on the xl but after the 275x "shows" i don't now

it seems like you might have windows centric hardware. use whatever bug reporting procedure you have and eventually you will have smooth running linux software on your tablet. this is a common problem.

Did you look at any of the Laptop Resources ?

http://www.linux-laptop.net/
http://tuxmobil.org/
http://www.tldp.org/LDP/Mobile-Guide/html/index.html
http://www.linux.org/hardware/laptop.html

If you don't see your exact laptop you can look for one with a similar configuration (sound chip, Graphics card, etc.. ) to glean the information you need to configure the right drivers and settings to make your system work.
