is there any linux keyboards out there?

I really feel alone when i enter in the computer shop. No product says its compatible with linux..

When one purchases a windows compatible product i just think to myself " you just kissed bill gates ass"

I wanted to buy a keyboard. but i see that annoying windows logo on it. between the ctrl and alt.

infact. i have one right now  .

Is there a linux keyboard out there? or more linux hardware's :)

thank you

A keyboard's a keyboard's a keyboard - they're all pretty much of a muchness. There are programs you can get to rebind things like the Windows key to the linux "meta" key and suchlike, but it's probably not worth going and buying a specific linux keyboard which has a key labelled "meta" as the other 102 keys do exactly the same things.

That, and you've probably got a better choice of keyboards with Windows keys on them.

daskeyboard. It's cool, and it doesn't care which OS you run or which language you speak or which layout you prefer.

Yuck the daskeyboard has blank keys.

Linux keyboard debuts next month

Why's the daskeyboard so expensive, it has no letters on the keys so it should be cheaper  . My MS Multimedia keyboard was about a tenner inc key labelling so I think its a bit over the top to charge $80 for a blank  :p

CheapBytes has a special right now on a Linux keyboard (with Tux instead of the Windows logo) and two Linux extra-large T-shirts for $16.00 (US).

I know nothing about the quality of the keyboard, but you can learn more about the product at the following URL:

I hope that this information is useful.

Cordially,

Mine is a logitech cordless keyboard and I've painted the windows keys black. but I have seen individual tux keys that you can buy to replace your windows key for most keyboard. finding anything without that stupid logo on it is next to imposable, and drives me nuts to. my general rule is if you can peal it of, otherwise get some paint or sandpaper (400 grit works well) or do what I did when I got my laptop and get a mac. (don't worry it runs linux)

Keyboard for Enterprise Linux 5

I have Enterprise Linux 5 installed on a Lenovo T61 laptop. I need a keybaord I can use, just so I can type away from the laptop. Does any one have any suggestion?...or the exact product to recommend?

Finx,

Any usb keyboard should be fine. I've got an old Compaq I still use on a Dell laptop.
